Rendering of a page with hidden or resized panel is not smooth

Steps to reproduce:

• Customize the size of the left panel on a wiki instance, or hide it
• Browse to another page that also displays the panel

Expected result: the page is displayed directly with the expected panel size, or hidden panel

Actual result: you can see briefly the default sized panel
