Photo Album Performance Issues

Creating a photo album with a small number of medium sized photos (in this case 38 x 1MB photos) can kill a browser that enters that page (Safari report 800MB active memory usage with just that page open and becomes unusable for several minutes).

I'm not sure what it's doing, but I assume it's sending the whole photo to the browser and telling it to re-size which is very bad. It really should create thumbnails (one small one for the overview and a medium sized one for the first level) when the photo is loaded into the wiki.
