      The main blocking issue at the moment is that we shouldn't break users who upgrade their instance of XWiki and we should provide a nice way for them to move their attachments currently stored in the DB to the file system.

      Sergiu mentioned some code he's worked on at https://github.com/phenotips/phenotips/tree/master/components/storage-migrators that could be integrated (if they're under the proper licensing).
